How can I participate?
- By providing us with your contact details, we can contact you every now and again to ask your views on our service(s).
- We are particularly keen to hear the views of the age group 16 to 30 years.
If you wish to learn more about how you can participate please contact:
- Dr I M Lyall, Lead Partner
- Joanne Rowe, Practice Manager
- Rachel Temple, Branch Manager, Strensall and Huntington
- Lesley Barker, Branch Manager, Stamford Bridge and Dunnington
When and where do we meet?
- Predominantly the work will be ‘virtual’ i.e. electronic although we will ensure all information is also available within all of the branch surgeries and in the waiting rooms.
- As a Practice we will hold quarterly review meetings to discuss the feedback we have been given and agree action plans. Please contact the Branch Managers if you would wish to attend one of these meetings.
What do we do?
- We want to obtain your views on areas that you feel we should focus on.
- Through surveys that we will issue electronically through email addresses collected so far; through our website and in paper format within the branch surgeries, we will review the feedback and determine what actions we should take to improve and/or develop our service(s).
- We will then report back to you on the outcomes of these actions via our website and also within the branch surgeries.
What are we working on?
- Earlier this year, we asked for your views on why you chose to attend Strensall Medical Practice and what you thought of us and our service.
The results of this survey are shown on Practice notice boards.
- Recently, we asked you what specific areas you would like us to focus on.
The results of this survey can also be seen on Practice notice boards.
- We intend to focus on the most predominant areas you tell us and as a result we are currently reviewing Clinical Care; Telephone Answering; Getting an Appointment. A further survey is now being conducted and we will share the results with you when these are available.
What improvements have we made?
Any feedback and actions we make will be provided on Practice notice boards.
- We are commencing development of our website and will have a dedicated Patient’s Area for you to access.
- We will be improving our notice boards and our communication with you in general, to ensure that current and relevant information is readily available to you in the reception/waiting rooms.
- We will be reviewing our Practice name, as the use of ‘Strensall Medical Practice’ appears no longer relevant.
- We will be reviewing our appointment system to ensure that appointments are used appropriately and that we reduce the number of DNAs (Did Not Attend).
- We will be reviewing our telephony system to make it easier for you to access the surgery, book your appointment or check your results.
