Strensall Medical Practice

GP Registrars

Fully qualified doctors, gaining experience (under supervison) in General Practice, are regularly based at Strensall and Stamford Bridge surgeries.

Medical Students / Hull & York Medical School (HYMS)

Six of the partners teach students at the Practice. The Medical students are from the Hull & York Medical School, based at York University. We always seek the permission of patients, for students to be present, before a consultation. We are very happy for patients to decline the presence of a student.

The students are encouraged to speak to patients directly about their health problems and experience of health care and we are always seeking volunteer patients to assist with this. Please ask at Reception if you think that you can help out.

Nurse Students

Our Community Teams often supervise trainee Nurses and Health Visitors. You will meet Nurse Students who are completing their training from time to time.
